Celebrating July 4th in Audubon

The Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks for 2010 will be held on Saturday, July 3rd.
The parade will start at 8:30am at Amherst Road and Paris Avenue.
It will proceed down Amherst Road, turn left onto East Pine Street,
turn left onto Edgewood Avenue and end at the judges’ reviewing
stand in front of the High School.
There is no rain date for the parade.
It will take place rain or shine - except for severe weather.
Rain date for the fireworks is Monday, July 5th.
Participants are requested to check-in
with their Street Captain by 7:45am sharp!
Theme: “A Grand Slam 4th of July!”
Registration:
All participants for the Bike parade, Baby parade and Family Float and Decorated House
competitions must be registered. The deadline is Friday, July 2nd. There will be no
registration the morning of the parade. Registration is at The Treehouse Coffee Shop,
120 West Merchant during their normal business hours.
Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded for Family Floats, Bike parade and Baby parade. The categories are:
• Best Overall • Fanciest •
Most Patriotic • Best Theme
Prizes for the House Decorating competition are without category and awarded to the top three.
Judging:
Baby Parade - Children three and under are invited to participate. This year participants have the option to walk the entire parade route or enter the parade at Wyoming Avenue and Pine Street. Judging will take place immediately following the parade at the basketball courts beyond the judges’ reviewing stand. There will be participant ribbons for everyone.
Bike Parade - Helmets must be worn! All bikes will line-up on East Princeton Road. Participants will be judged immediately following the parade on the lawn in front of the high school past the judges’ reviewing stand. There will be participant ribbons for everyone.
Family Floats - Winners will be announced at the evening ceremonies.
Decorated House - Open to any house located within the Borough of Audubon. Winners will be announced at the evening ceremonies.
